The 13th Virginia Regiment was raised on September 16, 1776 at Williamsburg, Virginia for service with the (U.S.) Continental Army. The regiment saw action in the Battle of Brandywine, Battle of Germantown, and the Battle of Monmouth. The regiment was disbaned at Fort Pitt, Pennsylvania on January 1, 1783.
