Bill O'Reilly controversies
Hello! You keep adding an "IQ" sub-section to this article. While the story may very well be true, the link/citation you provided goes nowhere, and I was unable to substantiate anything via a quick Google search. Please provide a citation with a link to a reliable source so the details can be verified. Thanks!Hal Raglan 21:18, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Reblocked
You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. -- Infrogmation 18:09, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
gramophone record
Please stop attempting to change this article's title to "analogue record" unilaterally. Simple re-submitting the change over and over won't work and it is annoying. Many people negotiated for a long time to come up with the current title. If you feel strongly about it, a more productive way to work would be to re-open the debate on Talk:gramophone record. zowie 21:40, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may do so after the block expires. - sorry, rest of Travis Air Force Base. - DavidWBrooks 21:44, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Please stop vandalizing gramophone record as you did again today. zowie 17:41, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
1. Someone vandalized the title and I fixed it. Stop unilaterally telling me to stop changing the page. 2.) Why is "Again" in quotation marks? Quotations marks are for quoting someone; see previous sentence. --132.33.132.19
- Actually, no, the title was agreed upon by many people over a long time and after much discussion. If you'd like to change it, the more effective (and less annoying) way to do so is to open a discussion on the Talk page. You might say something like "Gramophone record is, in my opinion, not a correct title for this page" and go from there. The rest of the community would like to work with you and to discuss your concern.
- If you decide to do that (and I hope you do) you will do well to sign up for a user account. You'll get more respect that way, and won't be confused with everyone else accessing the web from Travis Air Force Base. zowie 18:11, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

- I should have mentioned it explicityly before - you can see the history of the gramophone/analogue debate at Talk:Gramophone record/Archive2. zowie 18:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Sorry that you can't refrain from selfish editing. That's too bad. If you continue to try to thwart the consensus of the group, we can block you from editing the specific article in question. --Blainster 07:12, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

AK-47
Stop inserting the link to the AK-47 article. You will be blocked if it happens again. The article you link to commences, "Semi-automatic AK-47's were available for purchase in Canada with nothing more than an FAC (Firearm Aquisition Certificate) up until 1992. This was the year a fascist hag named Kim Campbell was used as a sacrificial cow to railroad freedom-robbing gun legislation (Bill C-17) into place." This is inappropriate material to link to. Stop now. The Land 20:39, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Unblock
User "The Land" has blocked me for "offensive vandalism." In fact, I kept posting a link on the AK-47 page discussing a controversial sunject (please see the newest post in the discussion page.)
{{unblock|I'd like to discuss the situation with a neutral moderator.}} --132.33.132.19
- It appears you have been edit warring rather than constructively trying to resolve disputes. This is not tolerated. As TheLand notes above the link you were inserting appears on it's face to be inappropriate. Additionally please see wikipedia is not an instruction manual, the link you provide is not contributing encyclopaedic knowledge about the subject. Thanks. -pgk(talk) 21:24, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- Indeed. I blocked you because you were repeatedly adding inappropriate content and because your response to advice and warnings was to threaten other users. That's not acceptable here. The Land 21:34, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
My main complaint is the grounds that this has been objected to. One person says it should not be posted because modifying the rifle in that manner is illegal, and illegal activities do not belong on Wikipedia, nor should they be described here. If that is the case, then what is [this] doing on here?
The other complaint I have received is that there is no legitimate reason for civilians to modify a weapon this way. This is a biased statement.
The linked article is opinionated, certainly. I felt that the main subject it disussed was relevant, however. Perhaps I should re-write the article which is being linked to. If I changed it enough to avoid plagiarism and left out all bias, would there then still be grounds for complaint? --132.33.132.19
-
- See wikipedia is not an instruction manual and no original research it is unlikely that a rewrite will be able to get beyond those two. --pgk(talk) 22:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I am not making an instruction manual, I am going to discuss a relevent matter of the subject. As far as instruction manuals go, there is already a [picture] of one in the article! I understand the two can streamline in certain areas, though they are never the same. Now for the "Original research" issue. Why would there be a problem in my using the linked article in the bibliography section?

I've blocked you again. Anyone reviewing: Check the user contributions. The only contribs from this account for a while have been from one troller who has already been blocked for this and shows no sign of improving his vehaviour, so I have imposed a relatively lengthy block and disregarded the fact it's a shared IP. Re: Achtung!
Regarding your comment [2] about inserting the link [3] on Goth subculture, you might like to read Wikipedia:External links. In particular, I believe it fails "any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article here would have once it becomes an example of brilliant prose" and "Any site that contains ... unverified original research" (e.g., "Goths often attract the sexually confused"). There are no end of "What is Goth" essays on personal homepages, there is no reason why this is more notable or worthy of inclusion.
Additionally, I'd suggest raising this up on Talk:Goth subculture rather than accusing other editors of vandalism. Mdwh 16:01, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
