[edit] In mathematics

132 is the sixth Catalan number. It is a pronic number, the product of 11 and 12. As it has 12 divisors total, 132 is a refactorable number.

If you take the sum of all 2-digit numbers you can make from 132, you get 132: 12 + 13 + 21 + 23 + 31 + 32 = 132. 132 is the smallest number with this property.

But there is no number that, when added up to its own digits, adds up to 132, making it a self number. However, 132 is a Harshad number, divisible by the sum of its base 10 digits, as well as a Zuckerman number, divisible by the product of its base 10 digits.

When counting in binary with fingers, expressing 132 as 0010000100 results in the isolation of the middle fingers of each hand, a gesture generally considered rude. The corresponding one-handed gesture is the representation of 4.
