12 Play is the sophomore album released by R&B musician R. Kelly. Released in the fall of 1993, the album broke Kelly out of the pack and established him a force in the R&B music world just as he had left his band, Public Announcement, after the release of his first album. With the sexually charged bedroom anthems, "Bump & Grind" and "Your Body's Calling", Kelly would begin a career that established him as possibly the most sexually charged performer in the years since Prince. This album was the first of a trilogy albums Kelly later released under the "12 Play" moniker including "TP-2.com" (2000) and "TP-3: Reloaded" (2005).
