This IP is at UF in Gainesville Florida. Why should I (a good faith editor) be blocked from editing just becuase someone else is a fool? I know that there is a way to make it so that accounst can edit but IP's cant could that happen here?
- This IP hasn't been directly blocked. It has been caught in an autoblock. Therefore you need to do one of the following:
- If you are already a registered user with an account (and here's why you should get one), log in to that account, attempt an edit and then copy and paste the message you get to your userpage. Put {{unblock|See autoblock details}} on the page as well. You'll be unblocked shortly.
- If you are wishing to edit semi-anonymously using this IP address (see here for why this is actually less anonymous) then you need to post the message you get when editing to this page, along with {{unblock|See autoblock details}}.
- These two are mutually exclusive solutions. Do the one that applies to you. Doing the other will not free your account, it will free the other one! No, seriously. ➨ ЯEDVERS 18:20, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Creating an account
To create a username, click on the "Log In" link in the top-right hand corner of any Wikipedia page. There are complete details here. If you are still getting an error, please tell me what the error says and I will investigate further. Thanks, Gwernol 13:58, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Thank you!
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Lorentz-Lorenz. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. FractureTalk 01:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and other deliberate attempts to disrupt Wikipedia are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. Gwernol 02:02, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
