Ḥ-M-D

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"H-M-D" redirects here. H-M-D is in fact an entirely unrelated root of lesser notability, meaning "to lie down".

Ḥ-M-D ( ح م د‎) is the triconsonantal root of many Arabic words, and many of those words are used as names. The basic meaning expressed by the root translates as "praise".
