[edit] Blond hair and blue eyes

The moţi consider themselver descendants of the celts, especially because of their blonde hairs and blue eyes, which are unfrequent among Romanians

What the...? A big majority of the Moldavians have blue yes, and many of them have darker blonde to brown hair. --Anittas 19:27, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey, don't shoot the messenger . That's what they say around these mountains, that's what I wrote here. Emphasis goes on "consider themselves" instead of "evidence suggests" or other phantasmagories of this type.Dunemaire 20:03, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

haha.... most of them don`t even know what celts were, and they "consider themelved celts"!?!? if anything, it could be sayd that they are the "most" dacian from all romanians. probably a motzi idiot read on Wikipedia (haha hhahahhaaa :)))))))))))) about celts and brainwashed another drinking pal that they are celts... loooooooooooooooooooool. and with idiots like you making wikipedia articles, i`m guessing this won`t be the first time i hear this... Greier

Wich "scholars"? hahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Greier

Please refrain yourself in the future from personal attacks against fellow wikipedians. Could you cite some sources that made you come to the dismissal of the locals'opinion and categorisation of them as pure dacians? I'm not saying they are right and you're wrong. I'm asking you to validate your opinion. Dunemaire 14:12, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

locals'opinion?!?!? hahahahahaaa if they really believ it, then theyr brainwashed idiots!!!!!!! i`ve talked to a motz and he and his familiy consider motzi descendants of Bhatu Khan`s mongols... so don`t forget to add this "local opinion" too, ok my fellow wikipedian? ;)

I actually heard about Glogariu's theory . Good job on researching it and the others. Care to cite a source for "seventeen theories"? Also, sign your contributions by using four ~ s. And lay off some of that sarcasm, we're in the same team here. Dunemaire 20:37, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Interesting question. And what about the German miners settled in the region by Maria-Theresia? Did they inherit their blond hair from Celts or from Dacians? :-) --KIDB 08:45, 9 June 2006 (UTC) I don't think it can be scientifically proven that the blond hair comes from the celts, dacians, saxons, schwabes or vikings. I would support the original version about what locals consider themselves. --KIDB 09:22, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

It is true, I am a from the region, people really have germanic features. Red hair is also much more frequent. It is unfortunately fist time I read about this, I am not sure if this subject was scientifically studied but the fact remain. It is possible that dacian influence was stronger, as I remember from Daicoviciu books, dacians had red hair and prominent bone structure (this is another feature in this mountains).
