Talk:Świat według Kiepskich

[edit] characterization problem
According to the lead of the article, the Kiepsky family is an "average" family from Wrocław...then we find out that the father is a bungling alcoholic, who's constantly trying to steal money from his wife's mother, a pensioner...the wife is a nurse, who on the side works desperately to fix all the family's problems...their 25 year old son is an unemployed jarhead, who for whatever inexplicable reason avoids studying (as though doing so were somehow incumbent upon 25 year olds)...and their daughter is a mis-fit (how is she a mis-fit? we aren't told...is she actually NORMAL? or is she somehow even more bizarre than the rest of her family?) The whole scenario sounds like a misbegotten mixture of All in the Family and Married... with Children. Nothing about the Bunkers or the Bundys is "average" for an American family, and I certainly hope that nothing about Świat według Kiepskich is an accurate reflection of an "average" Polish family. So...someone who knows the show might want to look into fixing that up, as well as explaining just how the daughter is the family oddball. Tomer TALK 19:55, September 11, 2005 (UTC)
