Čelákovice is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It is located on the Labe river, 25 kilometers from Prague. The population is about 10,000.

The place was inhabited since Stone Age. During 9th century an early Slavic settlement was established. First written record comes from year 1290. Fortress and church building had been built there. The fortress, reconstructed between 1973-82 into Gothic-Renaissance style serves as municipal museum today.

In 1910 engineering factory TOS (Továrna Obráběcích Strojů) was founded, it became and still is the largest industrial plant of the town.
