Óbidos, Pará

Óbidos is a town in Brazil located at the narrowest and swiftest part of the Amazon River. Its an old town located between Santarem and Oriximna. Canaval is amazing in Óbidos as the locals start celebrating in January.

"Obidos" was the name used by Amazon.com for their site engine, and appears in many of their URLs. Obidos was phased out in on August 31, 2006 at 20:59:17 PDT.
