Étienne de Besançon

Étienne de Besançon, died 22 November 1294 in Lucca. - 1273 as a student, 1282-1283 as Baccalaureus biblicus, 1286-1288 as Magister to theol. Faculty. D. Paris university proven. As provincial of north France (1291) and as general master (starting from 1292) it tried to lead back the Dominican order for the original severity of the order ideal. It died on the way from an inspection journey to Rome.
