Águeda (pron. IPA: ['agɨdɐ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 335.3 km² and a total population of 49,456 inhabitants, and 41,022 electors (2006).
The municipality is composed of 20 parishes, and is located in the District of Aveiro.
The present Mayor is Gil Nadais Resende da Fonseca, elected by the Socialist Party.
The municipal holiday is the Monday after the Whitsun.
