"(If There Was) Any Other Way" was released in March 1990 in Canada as the first single from Unison album. In the rest of the world it was the second single, issued in March 1991 in United States and June 6, 1991 in Australia, Japan & Europe. In United Kingdom it was released as a promotional single only.

Two dance mixes exists and can be found on American promo single. One of them (Edit Remix) was released on "(If There Was) Any Other Way" commercial single in United States. The second one (Extended Remix) appeared on U.S. "Love Can Move Mountains" single in 1992.

There were two music videos made for the song: first in 1990 for the Canadian market, and second in April 1991 for the United States promotion. The latter was directed by Dominic Orlando and was filmed in Los Angeles, U.S., and Vancouver, Canada on March 6, 1991.

The song reached #24 in Canada and #35 in United States. "(If There Was) Any Other Way" was more successful on Billboard Adult Contemporary chart where it peaked at #8.
